Harm Reduction For Community, By Community
Love Alive was created as a direct response to the alarming and heartbreaking fatal overdose rate in El Paso County, Colorado. This community-based initiative is rooted in community support, harm reduction, and the belief that all people deserve to live happy, healthy, and autonomous lives.
Love Alive has the following goals and objectives:
Distribute free Narcan and fentanyl test strips to anyone in the community who needs them
Provide free community education for folks who want to learn about harm reduction
Conduct overdose prevention and Narcan trainings with small businesses, service organizations, and providers in Colorado Springs
Actively work to reduce stigma and destroy existing stereotypes about people who use drugs
