Volunteer With Us
Love Alive is run by a small team of full time staff members, and relies on the generosity and kindheartedness of volunteers to keep it going.
Our need for volunteers and different skillsets varies, but we’re always happy to welcome a new person into our volunteer family!
Our current volunteer opportunities include:
Outreach
Once a week the Love Alive team visits our unhoused neighbors and distributes supplies like food, water, hygiene products, Narcan, fentanyl test strips, and other necessities.
Getting involved with outreach can look like everything from helping to prepare supplies to joining us on our weekly visits.
Behind The Scenes
A lot of preparation goes into the work we do, and sometimes we don’t have enough hands!
Examples of behind the scenes support can look like:
Helping to pack outreach kits and prepare supplies
Making sandwiches and packing lunches
Putting together emergency overdose kits
Organizing our supply closet (We do our best, but it gets chaotic in here!)
Outreach & Events
Sometimes we take this show on the road! We frequently attend and organize outreach sessions, trainings, and community led events where we have the opportunity to create relationships and share our mission.
Helping with events could look like:
Networking and talking with folks
Giving brief overviews of Narcan, harm reduction, and Love Alive
Making sure we remember to drink water and not just coffee
